Midwest Tour Scrapbook

After an enjoyable weekend with Pat's family who met us in Little Rock, we crossed into Missouri. The "show me state" showed us more bus troubles with the blowout of Pat's tow dolly tire. After a 3-hour delay, we were back on the road to St. Louis, where we sang for the Ballwin Baptist MOPS group the next morning.

We enjoyed a brief lunch and reminiscing with more of Charles' family friends, the Cummins, then crossed the border into Illinois for our first "Mom...and Loving It!" conference of the tour at Christ United Methodist in Fairview Heights. We were doubly blessed that Laurie's college house-mate, Mendy Bowman Stogsdill, attended with her miracle baby, Emily!!!

One lady commented, "I have felt so hopeless with my children and husband lately. God gave me encouragement through a book this morning, then He gave me you. It lets me know He cares and now I’m filled with hope!"

Another highlight of our weekend was visiting an air show at Scott AFB near the church. We enjoyed meeting the airmen and telling them "Thank you" for their service to our country.

Now that's an idea for transporting our buses!!!
