Sunday, September 22
Today, we worshipped as guests of the Marshall & Lorrie Worthy family at Woodland Park Community Church northwest of Colorado Springs.

After the services the Worthys treated us to some authentic Tex-Mex food, being that the Worthys are native Texans! Yee-Haw!!!

After lunch we hiked-off our Mexican food in the hills around their home. Then we all came down to our RV park to show them our buses and to cookout hamburgers. What neat friendships the Lord is allowing us to form along the way!

Tuesday, September 24
A highlight of our tour was to walk into the ministry headquarters of "Focus on the Family" and see a "Welcome 2MOMS" sign!

The Lord has blessed us with the friendship of one of Focus' vice presidents, Steve Partlow, ever since 2MOMS only had a 3-song demo CD. This exemplifies another God-appointment as Laurie & Sharon's cousin, Kamee, hooked 2MOMS up with Steve who was her "Young Life" leader back in Midland, TX several years ago.

The day started with Laurie & Sharon singing for a department devotional with about 75 people. Then, Steve sacrificed his entire morning to give us the behind-the-scenes tour of Focus - even allowing us to sit in the room from where James Dobson broadcasts his daily program. (We didn't get to meet "Doc" because he was away on business!)

Other staffers we met showered gifts on us - books, CDs, videos. It was like Christmas day for us! And the kids especially enjoyed Whit's End at the visitor's center - dressing up as the Whit's End characters and sliding down the giant 4-story slide.

Thank-you Lord for this most blessed day!

Wednesday, September 25
Today after leaving the Focus campus, we all enjoyed the Garden of the Gods with Nina & Papa! While in route, Charles mistakenly went in the back entrance (This was while in the bus and towing the van!) and only cleared the opening in the rocks by about 5" on each side. After that experience, Charles devised his own set of ABC's of driving: Abort, Backup, Change course.

After setting up at the beautiful Garden of the Gods RV Park, we enjoyed the sights of Old Colorado City.

Thursday, September 26
After an uneventful day of homeschooling and RV parking, Charles surprised Laurie by taking her overnight to the renowned Broadmoor Hotel.

He kidded that this was for their anniversary, birthdays, Christmas, and Valentine's Day all rolled into one! But the lady at the front desk did give us a deal by upgrading our room, because she recognized the 2MOMS' logo on Charles' shirt after seeing the buses on her way to work earlier in the week!

Thanks Nina & Papa for keeping our kids!

Friday, September 27
The entire gang got a tour of the Broadmoor by Charles & Laurie. Then we all enjoyed Seven Falls.
