Sunday, September 29
Today is Alec’s 8th birthday. After worshipping
at Northern Hills Christian Church, we took Alec to Fuddrucker’s
to celebr8! Then after naps we cooked up a 2 family buffet
and watched a birthday video, “Monsters Inc.”
to conclude Alec’s day of celebration.
 Monday,
September 30
We dropped off the buses again at Colorado Bus &
Coach for final work on the tow dollies and bus shut-off
systems. We then loaded up in the vans and headed west on
I-70 toward Dillon to see snow and the aspens turning. What
a beautiful sight! Too often we don’t see dramatic
changes of seasons in Texas.
Tuesday, October 1
After dry-docking the night before at LifeBridge Church
in Longmont, we sang for their MOPS group this morning.
Then we returned to Denver North Campground to set up camp
for the next week.
Wednesday, October 2
It was a rainy day at the campground as Charles put
on the finishing touches of winterizing the PVC plumbing
pipes.
Thursday, October 3
Got up early and traveled to Northern Hills Christian
Church to perform for their MOPS group.
 The
Hilliards ate lunch and fellowshipped with one of Charles'
college roommate's (SIL at OU), Tim Tillinghast, who is
a Wycliffe Bible Translator director in Mali, Africa.
Pat & Sharon kept the Hilliard kids tonight as Charles
& Laurie went out on a real date – which included
Italian food, Barnes & Noble, and of course Wal-Mart
or Target. Don’t all married-people dates end up there?!!!
Friday, October 4
Tonight we sang at a “Moms Night Out” at Northern
Hills. What a joyful, fun time of freely sharing our hearts
with about 150 precious women!
 Saturday,
October 5
Today’s big event was watching the debut of the
first Veggie Tales full-length movie, “Jonah”!
Another Big Idea triumph! – well worth the price of
supporting Christian media on the big screen! (But the $12
we spent on 4 drinks….well, don’t get me started!)
We continued a fun day with the kids at where else …
McDonald’s Playplace, where Avery climbed to the top
of the Playplace all by herself for the first time! This
culinary treat was followed by a video at the Hilliard’s
bus. Meanwhile, Pat & Sharon went on their “date
night”…. Yes, it also ended up at Target!
