Tour Scrapbook
Sunday,
January 12
The 2MOMS' crew and support team (Nina & Papa, Nohnie
& Grrrdaddy, Chris & Lesa Lovejoy with Kalie &
Courtney, cousin Johnny Young, and Dinina Sharber) made
an in-n-out run through Steak & Shake before all heading
through the snow to the airport.
After many hugs and tears we said our good-byes and went
through security to board the plane. Then we sat on the
runway for over and hour in order for the plane to be de-iced
- a first experience for all of us.
The trip went fine and we landed in warm, sunny Southern
California. We shuttled to the hotel and found our vans
freshly washed and vacuumed by the Pook family. (Thanks
David & Cindy!)
Monday, January 13
After a leisure morning, we headed to Corona to get our
buses. Stacy McBeth had graciously stored our buses, but
unfortunately had to move them due to some zoning issue
one week before we returned. So, Patti Anderson again offered
her help and land on which to park the buses. (Thanks Stacy
and Patti & Jim for your help through the bus moving
fiasco!)
Then to top it off, Patti & Jim offered to keep all
our kids while we unpacked and restocked our buses. What
a returning gift!
Tuesday, January 14
We were off and running again at 7:30 AM to make it to a
MOPS group at The Grove Church in Riverside. And what a
welcome it was! -- a wonderful breakfast for us all and
a great group of ladies. This group was just what we needed
to launch the 2nd and longest half of our "Mission
Possible" tour!
Wednesday, January 15
After lunch we left the RV park and headed back to southern
Orange County and set up at the church parking lot of David
& Cindy Pook in Mission Viejo.
Thursday, January 16
Up early again to share with the MOPS group from San Francisco
Solano Catholic Church in Rancho Santa Margarita. We especially
got a kick out of the Kodak moment you see on the left --
the vehicle lineup at MOPS!
Friday & Saturday , January 17 & 18
Not only did the Andersons offer their Corona home as an
oasis for us, they also provided us a weekend retreat at
their mountain cabin!
We used the days to play, hike, and sled and the nights
to work and play "old" games, like Password!
